G.S.R. (E).- In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of
section 5A of the Central Excises and Salt Act, 1944 (1 of 1944), or sub-
section (1) of section 5A of the said Central Excises and Salt Act read with
sub-section (3) of section 3 of the Additional Duties of Excise (Goods of
Special Importance) Act, 1957 ( 58 of 1957 ), as the case may be, the
Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public
interest so to do, hereby rescinds the notifications of the Government of
India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue and Company Law,
Department of Revenue and Insurance, Department of Revenue and Banking or,
Department of Revenue, as the case may be), specified in column (2) of the
Table hereto annexed.
Provided that in respect of Notification Nos. 38/95 - Central Excises, dated the 16th March, 1995, 40/95 - Central Excises, dated the 16th March, 1995 and 43/95 - Central Excises, dated the 16th March, 1995, this notification shall be deemed to take effect on and from 1st August, 1996.
